modern room colors


BLUE

Blue is a color that calms us down, makes sleep more relaxing and efficient. It boosts sensitivity and facilitates social contacts. Blue inspires, improves imagination, triggers creativity while dark blue develops intuition.
AT HOME
Light shades of blue are especially pleasant in our surrounding, it soothes emotions so that choice of color is perfect for children’s rooms and bedrooms. Although blue is a cold color making it warmer is very simple, all you have to do is to add some beige, white and all pastel colors.

BROWN

This colors provides with feelings of stability and security but is is often associated with shutting away from relatives, friends, hiding emotions. Brown rooms make people feel protected from the whole world.
AT HOME
Brown is easy in use as all shades of wood can be joined together, they don’t clash. Rooms in natural shades “accept” even the brightest colors which complement the palette. According to recent trends, browns should be accompanied with bright, modern colors such as turquoise, pink or purple.

GREEN

Green has always been known for its soothing and calming features. Looking at green around you relieves stress, has healing properties. It always brings calmness, laziness and comfort.
AT HOME
Surround yourself with green and you’ll achieve peace, harmony and energy balance. For rooms in which we relax and get some rest, greens should be warm with yellow shades whereas in hospitals it is better to use cold greens that are mixed with blue. Cold greens at home should be ’seasoned’ with any hot color e.g. red, bright pink or orange.

WHITE

White colors bring calmness, relaxation, improve mood. It is a perfect antidote to emotional traumas, fears or despair. White ensures clear thinking and help beginning from scratch. It is associated with hygiene and sterility.
AT HOME
Surrounding yourself with white only may cause some worries and fears but if other colors are added to it such combination suits as a base to many metamorphoses. It is an ideal beginning for room decorating as it gives countless possibilities.

Red room

RED

It has always been associated with life and motivation. With agression too. Red color is a strong impulse, it triggers positive thinking and fuels anger. Apart from that it improves self-confidence and prevents from sadness, depression and melancholy.

AT HOME

Red doubles the emotions, so it is very likely that a depressed person will be in despair, a positive thinker will be mobilized to some work. It is good for rooms we have to be active or alert e.g. kitchens, play rooms, halls, but not children’s bedrooms. Red combined with white and black brings some coldness to the room.

Yellow bedroom

YELLOW

It’s a cheerful color that we usually like. It is connected with intellect and expressing thoughts. It helps in decision making, gives illusion that everything is going to be allright, enhances good organisation.
AT HOME
It gives lots of energy, lightens the interiors. It is the best color for places where we learn, but yellow needs to be bright as brownish yellow is associated with ugliness. It gives the optical illusion that the room is large.

Pink living room

PINK

Pink soothes and calms emotions, gives warmness and a feeling of support. It tones down agression and makes people feel liked and cared for. You won’t feel loneliness in pink interiors, it is associated with disinterested love and innosence.
AT HOME
It has a posititve influence but in order to avoid Barbie’s house effect it should be used with other colors. Pink matched with white, beige, brown, blue makes classical, natural decoration. If you match pink with chocolate brown, turqoise, cold green you will create an extravagant and fashionable decor.

Orange room

ORANGE

Orange is a positive color that stimulates intellectual activity, it works like an antidepressant, brings back the lust for life and evokes positive feelings.
AT HOME
It improves the appettite and functioning of your digestive system that is why it is so often used in restauants. In general, it gives comfort and warmness to the decoration.
